We purchased Summerantha in 2010 at a herd reduction auction. She was suppose to be bred at the time but she was open. She was under weight when we brought her home which could explain why she was open. We have brought up her weight so she is a good solid 4 consistently. We have exposed her to a male 3 times this past summer and she went down each time. We are not sure if it is because she is an older female that she is not getting bred or other issues. Have not had any health issues with her since she has come to our farm. We have her listed as a companion animal but she does come with her registration.I have down what the previous owner said about her....Summerantha is our beautiful, well proven lady. She has a wonderful rose-burgundy colored fleece that is very dense with great handle. She has produced 7-vibrant and healthy crias with ease. This very gentle dam would make a great addition to any foundation breeding program. Summerantha produced a 2008 TB female Summersun. With that color line and her great fiber and conformation she is a brigade of the future.
Summerantha is very sweet, Great Mom "Big Bubbles no Troubles"
In 2009 she had MB "Sumhum". UPDATE: We did behavior test her on Feb 29th and she did spit off. She does not look pregnant but considering how she always went down previously last year we consider her pregnant and would be due around mid June. She was bred to Prancing Meadow's Snowking.
