Spring Ridge Angelica

Angelica was born August 30, 2011.  We were very very pleased with her and of course her coloring and fleece.  Beautiful little girl that is growing very well and will be showing in the spring of 2012.

Spring Ridge Geronimo

Geronimo was born September 6, 2011 to our Beth-HA-ney and Orion.

Spring Ridge Mackenzie

Mackenzie is a beautiful brown female...but certain areas have spots of grey.  She was born June 24th and was up and walking when I found her at 6am.  Her momma, Rosa was a first time mom so of course I had to stay home from work to keep an eye on the two of them.  Mackenzie is doing great and we are anxious for her fleece to grow out more to see how much grey she gets.

Spring Ridge Yoshie

Yoshie was born September 15, 2011.  Her name came about when a lady contacted me from California wanting to buy some fleece.  Her name is Yoshie and with writing back and forth she has family in Japan and my brother is a missionary over in Japan.  I fell in love with the name Yoshie and the name just fit this little girl.  She is the offspring of our Charlie's Angel and Silver.

Our adventures of 2009 - 2011 and increasing our foundation herd

In the last 6 months Denny and I have done some crazy things.  We didn't plan on buying more animals but last July we purchased 1 female and 4 males to help a lady out of financial trouble.  Then in August we purchase another male...just what we needed LOL but couldn't pass up the deal.  In November we purchased another female at an auction, darn charge card just made it too easy for another great deal.  This past weekend January 16th and 17th 2010 we really done the crazy and drove all the way up to Wisconsin to purchase another female (another great deal) but one that we couldn't pass up.  Serosa is her listed name and the farm is Rising Sun Alpacas or as they used to be called Brainstorm Alpacas.  Serosa's (Top Dog offspring) lineage was so impressive that we knew that she would only add to our foundation herd.  After 12 hours on the road we arrive and you know how when you meet someone that things just connect.  That is how we felt first meeting Mike and Suzanna.  The little bit of time that we spent with them we were so comfortable talking with them we wish we could stay longer.  Mike also had warned us to bring our trailer because he always had a deal in his back pocket.  Needless to say we not only came home with Serosa but a young female called Countess (Diesel offspring), they both just fit perfect in the back of our Durango.  Would we do this again, YES, but not a round trip ride (27 hours total) because next time we want to spend more time with Mike & Suzanna.  If you are looking for good foundation animals and animals that can very much be shown, which we plan on showing these two girls, check out their website.  Very fine people they are and the little bit of time we were there we could see their farm was very well managed.  Thank you Mike and Suzanna!

Our story continues and what a story to tell.  We were so impressed with the first two girls that we decided to try for a 3rd and we welcomed Beth-HA-ney to our farm.  Nice this time around Mike was making the journey to the East coast and on his way home he stopped by to check out our girls and we in turned checked out HA HA (Beth-HA-ney) and traded 2 young girls for her.  She is a Juliaca offspring and she has the crimp, density, well everything and then some AND she is old enough to be bred this summer.

Does our story end there.  NOPE!  We were so hooked on these fine examples of their animals and the outstanding herd sires that we had to consider a male for a future herd sire of our own.  With 3 girls all different bloodlines we hoped to find a young male with a 4th bloodline to compliment these girls.  We feel that we found him in Izaking, a Lancelot offspring.  We not only purchased Izaking but friends of ours started looking at these wonderful animals and next thing I know I am making calls to Mike & Suzanna and saying hey how about this male for friends of ours.  Needless to say we made a trip to Indiana to meet Mike who was on his Florida trip with animals.  We not only brought home Izaking and three males for our friends but did a trade for another female Cinamagic, another Juliaca offspring.  When Mike says he trades for anything he does trade.  I never thought he would say yes to a big jewel box of costume jewelry and some gold, earrings, baseball cards, gems, watches, etc.  Does our story end there, well of course not because we also purchased another male which we brought home May 9th and you guessed it we purchased 5 more females (3 pregnant) from Rising Sun's auction.  The 4 pregnant females will give us an additional lineage, Accoyo Expression and another Accoyo Diesel cria.

Our story continues and we are adding 3 more animals this coming summer from Rising Sun alpacas.  As you can see we have always had the Huacaya breed but now we are purchasing 2 Suri females, one white full Bolivian, one fawn 1/2 Bolivian 1/2 Peruvian with a True Black 1/2 Bolivian 1/8 Peruvian, 3/8 Chilean male.  Though they are all Alpacas it will be a new adventure having Suri on our farm.

Our Suri adventure continues and this is it....we hope!  We have brought home an additional 5 females, 1 male cria and 1 herd sire.  Now we have several different colors, lineages and lots to look forward to in our Suri adventure.

In the lead is Goddess, Succoyo, Uptowne, Latte and Phyliss

Safari is in the back looking on.

Princesa with her cria Reggie

This is THE MACMAN, isn't he something, another herd sire for our Suri girls.

Kong is our new Suri herd sire.
